PERSPECTIVE 001
INTRODUCTION
A COLLECTION OF EXPERIENCES, BELIEFS AND LESSONS THAT HAVE SHAPED ONE PERSON'S VIEW OF THE WORLD.
THIS IS PERSPECTIVE 001.
QUESTION 1
Who do you feel you're becoming, and what experiences have shaped that person the most?
I feel like I'm becoming very open in the sense of meeting people. I used to be very closed off in a sense of meeting new people due to fear of getting judged most of the time. I really hated being judged. Being around other creatives and my friends has taught me not everyone judges and can see the good in you as well as sometimes embracing your weird said as well. Sixth form definitely shaped that mindset since I had made a completely new set of friends myself because I had decided to separate from my secondary school friends.
QUESTION 2
Has there been a moment, person or experience that changed the way you see yourself or the world? What changed?
My brother really played a huge impact on how I view myself. Him doing so well pushes me to always do more. He thinks he’s sometimes not doing enough but I always let him know there’s people his age who are doing significantly less so he’s always doing something right. Even though it may not seem like it at certain times. I think the main thing that’s changed within myself is that i’m so much more open and comfortable doing so many things where as before i may have been very hesitant too.
QUESTION 3
What's something you once believed that you no longer believe? What led you to change your mind?
I used to think people were really weirded out by me so I stayed quite a lot. Well for the most part. but i realised that i am actually not that weird. I’ve met people just like me and I completely love it.
QUESTION 4
When people leave this conversation, what's one perspective or idea you hope stays with them? Why is that important to you?
I believe people should always carry the perspective that it's okay to come out of your comfort zone. It may not be easy at first but coming out of your comfort zone is so vital for any sort of progression. Especially within the industry we are in. Getting too comfortable leads to laziness and laziness then leads to real inconsistency. To keep the consistency, do it on days you don’t want to. It’s important to take rest days of course but don’t let your rest days turn into rest weeks.
QUESTIONS 5
If someone reading this feels uncertain about their own path, what would you want them to remember?
God has got you. Through hard work and prayer there’s nothing too great for him.
